Student Life

At Landow Jewish Academy, student life is vibrant, purposeful, and central to our mission of nurturing confident, compassionate, and well-rounded leaders. Beyond the classroom, our students are immersed in experiences that help them discover their passions, build friendships, and strengthen their connection to our school community. The Student Life Organization (SLO) is a dynamic, student-led leadership body guided by dedicated faculty advisors. It serves as the heartbeat of student engagement—planning events, leading initiatives, and bringing school spirit to life. SLO members work closely with students, faculty, and administration to ensure every student has a voice and every experience builds leadership, responsibility, and pride.

SLO Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordinating school-wide events, spirit days, and special programs

  • Supporting clubs, academic competitions, and student-led initiatives

  • Promoting school pride and positive peer culture

  • Encouraging community service and acts of kindness

  • Fostering communication between students and school leadership

Through the SLO, students gain valuable experience in project management, public

speaking, teamwork, and civic engagement. Participation in the SLO is both an honor

and a responsibility, and students are selected through an application or nomination

process based on their leadership potential, academic standing, and character.

Clubs and Enrichment:

Landow Jewish Academy offers a wide variety of clubs and enrichment activities across all grade levels. These may include:

  • Debate and Model UN

  • STEM and Robotics

  • Journalism and Yearbook

Our commitment to student life reflects our belief that education is not only about academic achievement, but also about developing the whole child—socially, emotionally, and spiritually. Through active engagement in school life, students learn to lead with confidence, contribute meaningfully to their community, and grow into the best versions of themselves.
